Wellhead Protection Plan, Phases 1 and 2

WHKS modeled the City’s groundwater aquifer system using MODFLOW and MODPATH in Groundwater Vistas during Phase 1. WHKS then developed a wellhead protection plan that included reconnecting the existing Well #2, inventorying potential contaminate sources and pathways, coordinating with various government units, and protecting existing resources.
WHKS identified a Class V injection well in the Drinking Water Supply Management Area (DWSMA) and developed a strategy to seal the well.
