Booster Station Improvements
DECORAH, IOWA
WHKS provided design and construction phase services for a booster station that pumps water to the storage tower serving the Decorah Business Park area, which is at a higher elevation than the rest of the City’s water distribution system.
WHKS prepared plans and specifications for construction of two new booster pumps for normal service demand and one larger pump for fire flow demand. The improvements included layouts of piping and valves as well as building, foundation, electrical and control design.
WHKS assisted the City with construction permit application submittals to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
