Choices Acres Site

WHKS assisted Trout Unlimited Inc. with providing design and construction services for various stream restoration and bank stabilization projects along a 1,900-foot section of the South Fork of the Root River.

WHKS worked side-by-side in the field with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources fisheries staff to provide optimal best-management practices at key locations.

WHKS coordinated both funding and design efforts between the landowner, Trout Unlimited, MnDNR, and Natural Resources Conservation Service to achieve the goals of multiple interests. The project established a DNR fishing easement through the restored site.
