US Highway 69 Interchange Improvements
AMES, IOWA
WHKS designed a new signalized intersection at the US 30 EB off ramp to South Duff Avenue (US 69) and the realignment of Billy Sunday Road, forming an east leg to the new signalized intersection. The project is in a busy urban area, requiring coordination with the City and Iowa Department of Transportation for a multi-phase traffic control and staging plan.
WHKS assisted the City to conduct a public information meeting and coordinated with right-of-way users, adjacent property owners, the Hunziker Youth Sports Complex, and contractors working on projects in the area.
