University of Dubuque Welcome Center
DUBUQUE, IOWA
WHKS provided survey, design, and construction administration services for a new Welcome Center at the University of Dubuque.
The 17,000-square-foot, two-story Peter and Susan Smith Welcome Center is connected to the north side of Myers Center. The new space serves as an interpretive welcome area for visitors to the campus and includes six classrooms, a lecture hall, a student cultural center, an academic seminar room, and office space for the University of Dubuque’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement.
WHKS provided site and utility design and developed a storm water management plan. The project was designed in accordance with the City of Dubuque requirements.
