Municipal Base Mapping and Modeling

WHKS developed GIS municipal base maps and water/sewer models for the City of Waverly. In some instances, WHKS manually developed new City base maps through survey-collected data and in other cases, base maps were developed using existing CAD or scanned paper maps. Where feasible, CAD maps were spatially adjusted from local coordinate systems to standard projected coordinate systems.

WHKS also developed multiple water/sewer models using GIS-based WaterGEMS software. The water and sewer models involved spatially joining billing records to parcel data in order to develop model loads. Water and sewer models were linked to GIS base maps to allow for automatic updates.
