Homewood Retaining Wall

WHKS provided survey services and evaluated options for a retaining wall along Hole #4 at the Homewood Golf Course.
The analysis provided retaining wall options and costs and identified significant impacts to the project area. An alternative was developed to excavate and grade to a flatter slope which was less impactful than the original retaining wall options.
The design combined erosion controls such as a turf reinforcing mat, horizontal drilled drains to lower the water table, soil composting, and seeding enhancements to stabilize the slope while minimizing impacts to the golf course.
